Which Kindle, Kobo and iPad Models We Make Cases For: Our 2026 Coverage, Counted
By the CaseBlossom team · Updated 15 Oct 2026
On 15 October 2026 our store contained 119 case listings and 30 device options in their model menus. We counted them by reading every listing page in our own sitemap rather than going from memory, and the split is 53 Kindle listings, 53 Kobo listings and 13 iPad listings. The ten Kindle/Kobo options cover eight Kindle groups — Colorsoft (2024) 7", Paperwhite 12th 7", Paperwhite 11th 6.8", Paperwhite 10th, Paperwhite 7th, Kindle Basic 11th 6", Kindle 10th and Oasis 2/3 — plus Kobo Clara Colour/2E/BW and Kobo Libra Colour/2. The iPad menus carry 20 size-and-generation options from the 7.9" Mini up to the 13" Air and Pro. Design names total 56, of which one is the blank custom listing. We do not make cases for Kindle Scribe or for the older Kobo Clara HD, Nia, Sage, Elvia, Libra H2O and Forma, and this page says so plainly so you do not have to discover it at checkout.
How we counted, so you can count again
Every number on this page comes from our own public files, and none of it required internal access:
- We fetched
https://caseblossom.com/sitemap.xmland kept every URL under/products/— 119 of them out of 159 total entries. - We opened all 119 pages on 15 October 2026 and recorded the two option groups on each: the Device Model menu and the Case Type menu with its list price. All 119 responded; none was skipped.
- We classified a page by the device family in its URL (
-kindle-case,-kobo-case,-ipad-case) and compared the design name — the part of the URL before that suffix.
Why we bothered: "which case fits which device" is the most common question we get, and a catalogue is an honest record of it because it has to be right or orders fail. Reader counts and market-size estimates are someone else's model; a model menu is a thing a company is legally required to get correct.
Device options, by family
| Family | Listings | Device options in the menu |
|---|---|---|
| Kindle | 53 | 10 groups (8 Kindle + 2 Kobo) |
| Kobo | 53 | 2 groups (Clara Colour/2E/BW, Libra Colour/2) |
| iPad | 13 | 20 size-and-generation options |
Two details that matter when you read those totals.
Our Kindle pages are combined Kindle/Kobo listings. Every Kindle listing offers both Kindle and Kobo groups in the same model menu, which is why the Kindle count and the Kobo count are the same 53 — the same artwork is sold for both e-reader families, with a separate listing per family so the size information is unambiguous.
The three custom listings add an eleventh option, not a new device. On /products/design-your-own-kindle-case, -kobo-case and -ipad-case, the model menu is the same list plus "Upload your artwork (PNG or JPG, up to 8 MB)". Custom orders are limited to the devices already on the menu; there is no path to a model we do not already cut for.
The ten e-reader groups
| Menu label | What it is |
|---|---|
| Kindle Colorsoft (2024) 7" | Colour-display Kindle, 7" |
| Paperwhite 12th 7" | 2024-generation Paperwhite, 7" |
| Paperwhite 11th 6.8" | 2021-generation Paperwhite, 6.8" |
| Paperwhite 10th (PQ94WIF) | Older Paperwhite — confirm by the model number printed on your device |
| Paperwhite 7th (DP75SDI) | Older 6" Paperwhite — confirm by model number |
| Kindle Basic 11th 6" | Entry-level Kindle, 11th generation, 6" |
| Kindle 10th (J9G29R) | Entry-level Kindle, 10th generation |
| Kindle Oasis 2/3 | 7" Oasis line, physical page-turn buttons |
| Kobo Clara Colour/2E/BW | Kobo's 6" Clara line, colour and mono |
| Kobo Libra Colour/2 | Kobo's 7" side-grip line |
Screen size is taken from our own menu labels. Physical dimensions are on the individual listings and in the case compatibility guide, which is the page to read before you assume a case carries across generations — a 6.8" and a 7" Paperwhite are one decimal point apart and do not share a shell.
The 20 iPad options
They resolve to four lines, sold by generation and screen size:
| Line | Options on the menu |
|---|---|
| Standard iPad | A16 2025/2022 (10.9"), 7/8/9 (10.2") |
| iPad Air | Air8 2026 (13" / 11"), Air7 2025 (13" / 11"), Air6 2024 (13" / 11"), Air5/4 (10.9") |
| iPad Pro | 2025 M5 (13" / 11"), 2024 (13" / 11"), 2022 (12.9" / 11"), 2021/2020 (12.9"), 11-inch 2020/2021 |
| iPad mini | 6/7 (8.3"), 4/5 (7.9"), 1/2/3 (7.9") |
This family carries twice as many device options per listing as the e-reader families — 20 against 10 — because Apple's model names are not self-explanatory and the size has to be spelled out. If you are not sure which iPad you have, Which iPad Do I Have? works from the number on the back. The 13 iPad listings are browsable as one set at iPad cases, or split by line: iPad Air, iPad Pro, iPad mini, iPad (A16).
What the design library looks like counted
| Measure | Count |
|---|---|
| Distinct design names across all listings | 56 |
| Printed designs (excluding the blank custom listing) | 55 |
| Kindle listings / Kobo listings | 53 / 53 |
| iPad listings | 13 |
| iPad-only designs | 3 |
The Kindle and Kobo name sets are identical — 53 names on each side, no design sold for one family and not the other. The iPad line reuses 10 of those designs and adds three of its own. The practical consequence: if a design catches your eye on a Kindle listing, it exists for Kobo in the same case styles, and there is a reasonable chance it exists for your iPad too. Midnight Garden is the clean example — one artwork, three cuts: Kindle, Kobo, iPad. Boho Daisy is the opposite case: one of the three designs that exist only in iPad sizes.
Our design taste is narrow in a way worth stating: the library leans botanical, watercolour and illustration. If you want matte black or a carbon-fibre look, we are not the store for it.
Case styles and list prices, per family
| Kindle listings | Kobo listings | iPad listings |
|---|---|---|
| No Strap $35.00 | Built-in strap $35.00 | Book Case without Pen Slot $44.00 |
| Built-in strap $38.00 | Regular Clear $38.00 | Book Case with Pen Slot $48.00 |
| Double-sided Magnetic Back $46.00 | Detachable Back Clear $38.00 | Detachable Folio Stand $48.00 |
| Regular Clear $38.00 | ||
| Detachable Back Clear $41.00 |
Four things worth being precise about:
- The figures above are the Case Type menu on each listing, read on 15 October 2026. They exclude the site-wide promotion, which changes too often to belong on a page meant to stay current — and the price charged can move once you select a specific device model, which we did not audit style by style.
- Related-product strips on those pages show lower list figures — $24 and $40 appear. We can reproduce seeing them, but not which variant they price, so we are not calling $35 the floor of this catalogue. Ask the page you are on, not this article.
- Style menus are not identical across families. iPad listings are folio-style book cases with an optional pen slot; there is no "clear" iPad option.
- One style name carries two prices. "Built-in strap" is $38 on Kindle listings and $35 on Kobo listings, because the Kobo range is three styles rather than five. If that inconsistency bothers you, it should — it is on our list, not yours.
The made-to-order line runs on the same menus rather than a separate one: design your own Kindle case, design your own iPad case, and the whole custom set at custom cases. Personalising a flap with a name or initials is included in the price, not sold as an add-on.
What we do not make cases for
Deliberately listed, because "not on the menu" is easy to miss when you are shopping for an older device:
| Device | Status in our catalogue |
|---|---|
| Kindle Scribe (10.2") | Not offered, no listing carries it |
| Kobo Clara HD | Not offered |
| Kobo Nia, Sage, Elvia | Not offered |
| Kobo Libra H2O, Forma | Not offered |
| Kindle Voyage, Kindle Fire | Not offered |
| Anything outside Kindle / Kobo / iPad | No live listings in the sitemap we counted |
Older does not automatically mean unsupported: the earlier Paperwhite generations and the 10th-generation Kindle are still on the menu, and we keep them because people still read on them. The cut-off is our tooling, not the device's age — a shell we have not measured is a shell we cannot guarantee.
What this page does not measure
To keep the claim inside the evidence:
- We did not measure anyone else's coverage. No competitor catalogue appears in these numbers, so nothing here supports "the widest Kindle case range available".
- Coverage is not sales. 119 listings tells you what we sell, not what sells. We publish no unit figures.
- Listings change. This is a dated snapshot. Re-count it from
https://caseblossom.com/sitemap.xmland the model menus, and if your device is missing, ask before ordering — we would rather say no than send a shell that does not fit.
FAQ
Does a Kindle Paperwhite 12 case fit a Paperwhite 11?
No. Our catalogue treats them as separate options because they are different devices — the 12th generation is listed at 7" and the 11th at 6.8", and their bodies are not the same. Pick by generation, not by screen size rounded up, and check the compatibility guide if you are buying for someone else.
Do you make a case for the Kindle Scribe?
No. The Scribe does not appear in any of the model menus we counted on 15 October 2026, and the custom listings offer the same devices, so there is no custom route to it either.
Can you make a custom case for a model that is not on your menu?
Not currently. The design-your-own listings add an artwork upload to the existing model menus rather than opening new devices, so a model we do not already cut for stays unavailable even for a custom order.
Which iPad models do you cover?
20 options across four lines: standard iPad (A16 2025/2022 10.9", and 7/8/9 at 10.2"), Air (Air8 2026, Air7 2025 and Air6 2024 in 13" or 11", plus Air5/4 10.9"), Pro (2025 M5, 2024, 2022 in 12.9"/11", and the 2020/2021 generations) and mini (6/7 at 8.3", 4/5 and 1/2/3 at 7.9"). Find your model number first with Which iPad Do I Have?.
Do your Kindle cases also fit Kobo?
Not as a rule, but every design in our library exists for both families as its own listing, and the Kobo listings cover the Clara Colour/2E/BW and Libra Colour/2 groups. A Kindle shell and a Kobo shell are different cuts; choose the listing for your family. Our Kobo model guide covers telling them apart.
